Role - edpm_pre_adoption_validation

Implements a set of checks to be run before the main edpm_ansible deployment executed during adoption but after the new OpenStackDataPlaneNodeSet CRs are fully configured. See [the adoption docs](https://openstack-k8s-operators.github.io/data-plane-adoption/) for the detailed steps.

The goals of these checks to prevent applying such new configuration to the edpm nodes that would either cause immediate problems of the running workload or require a reboot to apply.

osp.edpm.edpm_pre_adoption_validation role – The main entry point for the edpm_pre_adoption_validation role.

Whether the hostname checks are executed.

Choices:

  • false

  • true ← (default)

edpm_pre_adoption_validation_kernel_args_enabled

boolean

Whether the kernel argument checks are executed.

Choices:

  • false

  • true ← (default)

edpm_pre_adoption_validation_machined_enabled

boolean

Whether the systemd-container package checks are executed.

Choices:

  • false

  • true ← (default)

edpm_pre_adoption_validation_old_neutron_config

string

The path of the pre-adoption version of the neutron.conf file on the node

Default: "/var/lib/config-data/puppet-generated/neutron/etc/neutron/nova.conf"

edpm_pre_adoption_validation_old_nova_config

string

The path of the pre-adoption version of the nova.conf file on the node

Default: "/var/lib/config-data/puppet-generated/nova_libvirt/etc/nova/nova.conf"

edpm_pre_adoption_validation_tuned_enabled

boolean

Whether the tuned profile checks are executed.

Choices:

  • false

  • true ← (default)
